Pressure Regulators

Pressure regulators have two standard uses. One involves use as a controller to automatically regulate the flow of gas or fluid once a specific pressure is reached. Pressure regulators are also attached to high-pressure supply tanks and lines to convert gas or liquid to safe and workable outlet pressure.  The valves feature screws or knobs that allow operators to adjust the outlet pressure with a slight turn.  

Air and fluid pressure regulators come in a wide range of pressure regulation and flow ranges. These instruments are typically used with air compressors for pneumatic tool and automation systems, HVAC controls, and control systems in aerospace applications.

Considerations in selecting the proper regulator include flow requirements, inlet and outlet pressure ranges, and whether you have a fluid vs. gas application. Valve material is also essential, especially for applications involving toxic, explosive, and flammable substances.
